I was just curious. If you think about all the sellers/fringe teams looking for a 1st round pick to acquire, are they all going to get what they want for their pieces? Or
will they have to sell for cheaper? Think of all the contending teams about to be over the cap too.

youre gonna have to give up a first at least for Giroux, not a cap dumb, bust, B level prospects and mid round picks

If the market isn't there, you may find some players being re-signed or own-rentals for bubble teams. Teams not willing to pay now, may find themselves without a dance partner later.
It depends if you're looking for a deal and are willing to wait it out, or if you're after "your guy" and playing chicken. You can definitely find deals if you aren't being picky, but if you want a Giroux, you either pay up or risk faceplanting.

I get your point, but Giroux is maybe the best rental ever. He'll definitely get a better return than that
