WE DONT WANT YOUR EXTRA SCRAP LHD
im sure if Chicago called for a swap in C's we'll be more than happy to entertain the idea but a LD coming back won't be a part of it

Hawks are better off keeping Strome who will be cheaper and has known chemistry with both Cat and Kane and will play a top 6 role. Toews is nothing more then a 3C going into next year....a good one albeit. Dach is a big question mark as to whether he would benefit on the wing, he certainly can;t win a faceoff to save his life. Reichel hopefully is what we think he is next year as a top 6 Center and if so, Strome, Reichel and Toews is a pretty good for now with Dach on the wing.

I don't think I'd do that Bruins trade either. Better off keeping a asset that's 2 years younger, much cheaper with Hagel. Plus Kubs is likely gone and Hagel has looked great in the top 6

Strange that you zero'd in on Beaudin who's a minor piece on a two way ELC in the AHL as what to comment on.

I covered everything with one short comment, don't know what you're talking about,

The deal is basically C for C with picks to sweeten and then poehling for that guy, so i said the idea is good but that won't be the piece coming back for poehling

And i zero'd in on it because literally every single trade involving thr habs everyone semd the habs their unwanted LD prospects and players

Rather keep strome than Dvorak. Strome has the chemistry to Kane and debrincat.

Wouldn't touch that Hagel trade. I'd do kubalik for debrusk but not much more

The deal is not bad but like SMH said, we need a different piece coming back to make the deal work. If you want 2 centers you are going to have to send back 2 centers or a center and a good RHD.

I wouldn’t do that oilers trade just because oilers are in a tough position in the standings swapping out our current starter that is playing well is very risky. Fleury took a while to get adjusted in Chicago oilers can’t afford any adjustment period.

Actually, the Habs tried to draft Beaudin who the Hawks took late in the 1st round several years ago and the Habs have inquired about Beaudin since the draft. That is the reason he is likely included and he's not a throw away piece at least the Hawks don't consider him that.

I also wouldn't trade Strome for Dvorak; Habs win that trade in my opinion easily.

That's a boat load of speculation, and btw not sure if you know there's a new management in MTL so even if what you say were true it don't matter now does it

It's not speculation about Beaudin, was widely reported they had him on their board for their early 2nd round pick in 2018, Chicago took him at #27. Following that, again widely reported, Montreal tried to make several trades with him. They tried to work a package when they sent Shaw back to Chicago as one of the times. That said, no idea if they covet him the last year or two, but certainly following the draft in 2018 and for a year or so later they wanted Beaudin as their scouts saw something in him. Obviously so did Chicago.

Bottom line, you didn't know the background on Montreal and Beaudin so you called him "extra scrap LHD" in bold in your response incorrectly....now you know. Ask a couple of your habs power users here about it....it wasn't a secret at the time.

I'm no ignoring anything. It's just clear you didn't know the history behind Beaudin, Montreal and the Hawks....no big deal which is why I questioned your comment to begin with...most Montreal fans on here are in the know...no big deal

Speculation, just because you say something with confidence it doesn't make it a fact

It's not, widely reported by both montreal and chicago media.

Just because you say it's speculation, doesn't make it a fact.
