Turn Koskinen into Stuart Skinner and Broberg into Bouchard and maybe the Isles start thinking about it, but Sorokin is a guy they've devoted a ton of assets into getting to come to NY (they literally do not sign Varlamov for 4x$5 if his presence doesn't help getting Sorokin to come over from the KHL.) They're not giving up on him after 60 or so games without getting a monster package.

Isles are not trading their Franchise goalie.

I'd pay that from the Oilers side all day long. Problem is young starting goalies like this aren't usually available... reality is this bones of the islanders are good and they're likely to bounce back next season. Even for a haul like this, it's still much much more likely that they'd trade Varlamov.

Also, someone will likely concede and give a first for Chiarot.

i'd see a monster package more as proven young guys than a guy with 20 AHL games, and another guy with 1 point in his first 20 NHL games. not saying that they won't develop into very good players, but if I'm moving my franchise goalie, I want someone who has already shown the ability to produce at the NHL level. upping Broberg to Bouchard does that, and swapping Skinner in for Koskinen gives the Islanders a guy they can try and work up into an NHL goaltender instead of just getting a guy they'll throw out there 5 times in the next month and then let him walk.
