Ottawa keeps Forsberg if you're just offering a goalie they don't want, a 13th forward, and a 2nd. Word on the street is they want to re-sign him anyway.

TY for the feedback, Mr Dorion. Although I'd counter that if Forsberg isn't signed by the TDL, it would be foolish not to get assets back for him just to potentially lose him for nothing in FA. Could certainly argue about the package here for him, but I don't think it's drastically far off.

Your really close at what a lot of the oilers would look at.

I think a 2nd and a prospect straight up for Forsberg would work if Ottawa has to move him. I think Benson is a stretch to still call a prospect, though - and I think Edmonton has to add a little bit more if they want Ottawa to take Mike Smith's extra year off their hands. But like you said, not horribly far off.

If the Sens want to extend their rebuild, they do this

If they want to seriously compete next season, they re-sign Forsberg

At the beginning of the season, I thought Murray-Gustavsson would be the ideal duo going forward but Murray looks very close to LTIR.

He has had concussion issues for years. I'm speculating but I'm afraid it's looking more and more like Anders Nilsson's situation.

Since Murray might just end on LTIR, they can't just throw Gustavsson with the burden. He needs to start as a backup
