I'd rather keep Yamo and the pick. EDM's cap situation going into next year simply can't afford Debrusk and they don't need another one-dimensional offensive guy.

the deal would hopefully come with extensions both ways for similar cap hits.

Jets Decline
Take Toninato out or add a pick from Boston

I doubt they let a deal like that fall through because of a depth forward that would only return a 6th

Ok

But you broke up 3 lines that are working really well and didn’t really improve them much. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A deal like that gets you Copp alone.
If you want an added bottom 6 player that delivers, from a team full of meh bottom 6 players, then add something or change the player you want added.
I always love how a bottom 6 player is added to a trade, then when it’s contested, said player is bashed as not worth adding a pick or not worth the trade being refused… but he was apparently valuable enough to add and defend being added.

DeBrusk still needs to go and wants to go and you can swap back Haula and Copp if you feel the need to.

Because a 2nd and Studnicka is a little much for Copp and Toninato was added to even the deal up a bit more

No from Winnipeg. The 2nd is nice but Studnica isn't good or valuable enough to justify the Jets retaining and adding Toninato.

Sharks really like Middleton, he has been solid above average and dependable, plus he is still under team control next year so unless it’s a 2nd i think the sharks keep him.
you could have Simek and a 4th for a 5th though lol, but i don’t think that helps you much.

A 2nd + a 23 yr old AHL player is to much for Copp…. Lmao… ok
The reality is, for Copp, you’d need to add a 1st to Studnicka, but I was willing to take the 2nd if you took out Toninato… now, forget it.
1st + Studnicka or no deal.

Make it a 2nd for Middleton and we have a deal. Senyshyn is not a good piece.

Seny is only there to honour his trade request and get a NHL shot with a team down the stretch I don’t see him having any value

No interest in trading Middleton unless we get a first

No chance Debrusk accepts the kind of cap hit Yamo is likely to get (~2mil) so I think that's an unrealistic hope.
