He's an RD, man. And highly prone to turning the puck over in the D zone.

Think Soucy, Gavrikov, Lindholm. These should be the aims.

Meh, never really liked him, he was a very safe pick from an ultraconservative gm almost a decade ago. Classic jack of all trades, master of none guy. However, he makes less than a million, he is right handed, and a late round pick is a good bet for playoff insurance. I watched the Sabres lose in the conference finals about 15 years ago when an unbelievable string of bad luck left us playing a game 7 with our 9th and 10th defensemen. Pysyk is better than a Jeff Jillson AHLer if push comes to shove.

Geez Jillson is a name I haven't heard in awhile...
What about Samuelson? Blues should be interested in him.

Okay, but the Blues want a 1st pairing LD. They don't need an RD or more depth.

Samuelsson looks pretty good. I thought his skating might be an issue but he takes good angles and has the reach to make up for it. He will look good playing third line minutes behind dahlin and power. I'm sure Bryson and Johnson would be guys that get moved before Samuelsson. Johnson is a former first round pick that is an above average skater, his ceiling is probably higher than Samuelsson, but Samuelsson fills a bigger need. I'm happy with a big defensive defenseman who can play physical, it seems like everybody has left handed puck moving d to spare.

I like Samuelson. Want the Blues to trade for him given the backlog of LHD in Buffalo.
