Nope, even with a second added on I still don’t see Detroit accepting this.

Bertuzzi will get a first, another pick and a prospect at the very least

Bert scores twice as much as Kapanen so not even close.

There is no need for Detroit to trade Bertuzzi. Any offer will have to be a hefty overpayment to get Yzerman interested.

Add Nylander + Poulin + Joseph + the 2nd and you'll get Steve interested...

Even then is it worth it? I would rather take one or two better assets than all that.

Not remotely close. The cost is 1 A+ asset (high 1st round pick or top prospect), 1 A asset (mid to late 1st round pick or top 5 prospect) and 1 B level asset (2nd round pick or top 20 prospect)

Not close at all. Penguins don't have the assets the wings would want for a bertuzzi trade

I'd say it's worth it. If you take a closer look at the players you'll find that:

Nylander is just rebounding from surgery (missed last season) and he'll only get better as he heals. Expect 0.5 PPG or more next season. Plays both sides.
Poulin is waivers exempt for two more years and there's plenty of time to let him improve.
Joseph is a good playmaking defender that is ready to take a roster spot. He has improved every year and quite a bit this season.
Kapanen has never scored less than 0.5 PPG and is cheap and there's a good chance of him still improving.
Hållander is the weakest of the lot but he's exempt from waivers and could still be a bottom-6 centre in two years time.

If only one of Nylander/Kapanen hits it'll be a very good trade for us. The two of them will replace Bert's production and together they'll exceed it.
Joseph is good enough to let us trade Oesterle and get a pick for him or include him in a package.
Poulin and Hållander are lottery tickets.
A 2nd is good in a deep draft like this one.

With Berggren coming up next season this gives us a reason to trade Fabbri who's a black hole defensively and a really bad playmaker.

Vrána - Larkin - Raymond
Zadina - ? - Kapanen
Berggren - Suter - Nylander
Rasmussen - Veleno - Erne

Why do poster on this site think Bertuzzi is available?

Wings are rebuilding and slowly coming out of that rebuild
Bertuzzi is signed thru next year
No cap issues
Have not heard any rumbling about the vaccine issue from Management
Just had a baby
Why is it a lot of ACGM's think the Wings have to move him and for less than market value?

I would rather use Bertuzzi to fill that question mark on the second line for years to come. Bertuzzi is good enough that he could get us a high end centre who is or almost is nhl ready. That's just me though.

Bertuzzi for Kapanen, Hallander

Pittsburgh would do this every day and twice on Sunday's, but Detroit isn't even bothering to say no... they just blankly stare...

You're right about getting a centre but you're also losing 80 points of production when trading Bert, that also has to be replaced and Bert won't do both. It's a choice between two evils.

If we're picking up a good centre in offseason (like Copp) then I like this trade due to it giving us three balanced offensive lines that can score.

Anything less than a haul then Bert should, of course, not be traded.

Nope add Pettersson and the 2022 1st round pick and it's still 50/50. Yzerman already said that main piece coming back is a 1st round pick. Kapanen+Pettersson+Pittsburghs 2022 1st round pick would be the minimal ask.
