Savvy and Cost Effective

Created by: NMAvsFan

Description
Let's assume the Avs don't get Giroux for whatever reason. Where they really need help is on the bottom six. They need PK and defensive help as well as guys that can maybe contribute a bit on the scoresheet. These additions help without costing much. When everyone is healthy and back in the lineup, Larsson moves to 4LW and Barabanov moves to Newhook's wing. These two might also be available to re-sign at a reasonable rate after the season if they work out.

Sharks moving Barabanov doesn't seem realistic to me

You're not getting Larsson for less than a 3rd.

Barabanov want to stay on sharks. Sharks can keep him low cost. Kaut is okay but not close to Barabanov value

For a pending UFA with 15 points on the season? Seems pretty steep with so many guys like him available.

I guess it depends - they're going to have to give him a raise and they're running pretty short on space. With the year he's had, he could easily ask for $3-3.5M or so.

15 points in 29 games on an Arizona team, to be specific and that's including a hatrick. Larsson is easily Arizona's 2nd line center and you must be crazy to think he's leaving for a 5th 😂

He was just traded for exactly a 3rd round pick lol - looking at Larsson and classifying his as "a pending UFA with 15 points on the season" noted you only look at box scores and that you're a casual who hadn't ever really watched him play. He's been one of the best defensive centers in hockey for the last 4 years, he's been hurt (he'd have more points if not for the injury) and when he did play this season was centering Crouse and Kessel showing he could keep up and help more skilled guys.
