Sorry I didn't see your other comment up there. This is probably a fair deal and I like Kesler. But Wenn is super valuable to me, he's my natural set up man. And with Ovie and Tarasenko he's priceless. And w Petro and Parayko I only need a guy to play like 15 tops a night in my 3rd pair.

I would give up a handful of depth pieces and or futures for pokka?

Is there any reasonable package I could send with Kesler that would fetch me Wennberg? Or is the price to steep

I'd have to get a high-end setup man in return. Kesler is more in the Backes/Thornton type of range

For simmonds I'd need Tage Thompson in addition to Anderson and Barbashev for simmonds. Scoring winger on an excellent value contract won't come cheap.

So you dont see a deal between the two happening?

Anderson and Barbashev are both cheap and productive. If I add Tage I'd need another piece coming my way. He's a stud and will be a top6 player soon. Only reason I don't have him on my NHL roster is because I have depth and it gives him time to bulk up and develop

Basically your getting a good bottom 6 player, a bottom 4 RHD, a decent prospect, and one of the best faceoff guys in the the league. Backes/Wennberg had 10 more points than Kesler/Ward, however you would also recieve a well developed defender who had 30 points the AHL this past year.
