    No one's paying a 1st (lol 1st) and a 4th for a 35 year old $6mill goaltender that's going to be a UFA. Time to trade him was now, and I doubt anyone was offering that now.

    34 and $5M btw and MAF is 37 making 7+ and got a potential first so whats ur point

    For 1 year of Varlomov yeah no. Fleury went for a 2nd that becomes a 1st with conditions but yeah probs gonna end up with a 2nd

    Lou should have tried to trade him this TDL as maybe someone would have gave that return with some retention.

    Toronto will just go trade for Reimer at the draft as SJS rn have 3 goalies.

    It's a conditional 2nd alone, that could become a 1st, but you didn't put the condition on your trade. And no one said that's a good trade, but cleary he's valued more than Varlamov.

    Leafs wouldn't trade multiple 1st and get off the Mrazek contract for MAF, and that deal had Hagel in it.
