As it looks we will probably play ourselves out of the first overall pick i think we will draft somewhere in the 4th-8th range and i dont think any player we get in that group will need to be rushed into the NHL. So i dont see a roster spot being taken by our 2022 draft pick.

I expect Forsberg to be a highly coveted player this offseason so very possible he choses a team thats in win now mode instead of going through a year or two of a retool but i MTL will be a position to make him a very good offer that others team may not have the space for. Bergeron would be an amazing addition, would be a great presence in the locker room and could help our young center immensely.
Petry is traded at a discount, we have very little leverage and by this offseason it will get to the point where it simply needs to get done so we can move on.
Bring kulak back if its a reasonable contract to provide a bit of insurance on the back up, this team isnt expected to be a contender, still have a lot of young players but i think this team will be able to compete nightly and hopefully we can see the young guys continue to grow.
