Really starting to look like the Jets should've drafted Lundell.

Carolina won't do that.

Can't see Washington trading back for Dillon.

Not sure I see the point in the Chycrun deal if you're trading Scheifele and Hellebuyck.

That defense is fukkin tiny, it'd get crushed!

Thanks to @Mr_Canoehead for providing this quote:

Bruce Cassidy following the Jets vs Bruins: "We had talked about getting to the interior against Winnipeg. They have some smaller D, a couple big ones, but some smaller ones, and statistically they don’t defend the slot that well for whatever reason."

The Jets defense needs to get bigger, not smaller.

Pretty sure you wouldn't get Jarvis straight up for Schieffele. I could see Necas and a first though.

Well, maybe not now haha. (Necas just scored)

You’re hoping Jarvis becomes scheifelle one day. Real value > possible value

1. Brendan Dillon trade could really go anywhere was more ballparking value

2. It’s funny you say the jets defensive size is the issue when their worst dmen are the bigger ones. Stanley beau(bye bye) and Dillon while not as bad as the other 2 has been on the bottom end of our defensive talent.

3. Chych is 23 so it’s a longer term play.

4. Carolina trade, if they lose early this year in the playoffs I can see them trying to make a splash. I don’t necessarily think it’s going to happen but if it came too it, I don’t think the values are off. Scheif is what you hope Jarvis becomes. Real value > possible value. Scheif going to command a haul of a return if he really does get moved

Really close to the end of a rebuild. Helle speeds that up. Jets take a chance on a goalie who’s not lived up to expectations.

Stanley has struggled at times sure but has had some good games too. Dillon definitely hasn't been at the bottom end of the Jets defensive talent, he's been one of the Jets top 2 or 3 dmen this season.
I don't think size is the Jets defense' only issue but I do think it's part of it.

Yeah he has a few years of term but if you're trading Scheifele and Helly by the time you get good again Chycrun is almost a UFA and who knows if he wants to stay, though Blackwood could be great too so kind of negates that concern I guess.

I'm not sure what Scheifele would get, do think there's a real possibility he's traded this summer though.
