Crazy how a guy can play 63 NHL games and be completely untouchable - I'd be willing to argue whether this package is enough but everyone in the league is available at the right price
In this trade you get your RW1 until Raymond surpasses him, a RD who is OBVIOUSLY worse but still a young guy that will play top 4 minutes, Knies, who people are calling one of the better prospects in the game, and on top of that another first round pick. Leafs get the better player without a doubt but the Red Wings get better

honestly think its pretty understandable. If Seider joins the leafs, he would instantly be their best defenseman. He is only 20 years old and has 2 years remaining on his ELC. Compare that with any of the greats like McDavid, Draisaitl, Matthews, etc who are all have cap hits over 10 mil and haven't won anything. Then take a look at your offer: a decent offensive winger with defensive lapses, a mediocre defensive prospect with defensive lapses, another winger prospect (like we need more wingers) and a late first round pick. No man, Detroit is not interested in trading Seider to Toronto for anything they have.

I suppose.

Well, I guess I was also wondering how a Marner Seider swap would go. Because in my unbiased opinion Seiders value is probably slightly higher, but I’d be curious as to what you think.

Personally I'd would rather have Seider.

Leafs don't have the pieces to get Moritz Seider, That sure as hell doesn't get him. Doen't even come close. Look at what it would take to get Rasmus Dahlin Seider would be just as expensive if not more.
