Well if Sheary is all the things you described, why are you only trading him for a 3rd especially if you have cap space to keep him?

There's nothing wrong with Eller but there's no room for him in Detroit

Caps say no to the Sheary trade. He might be the best value in the NHL right now contract wise + production.

No room for him... trying to play younger talent... i personally dont see the Capitals as a cup contender so im in favor of playing the youth and developing them... imo LEafs are aiming to win a cup while AM is signed on this current deal

need to play youth... Ovechkin cant be our best player if we are going to win the cup. Kuzy is a close 2nd but like i said we need young talent to exceed to be successful at this time

Yeah I see Sheary as a player who will be useful for TOR cuz of his forechecking, they take that every day.

GM disagrees with you. Traded Sprong for an old rehash. Long as the Caps have the core, they will push for the playoffs. You don't trade Sheary in that situation.

Sprong isnt good... when i say play youth i me like DONT PLAY chara over Siegs. Seigs should be on this roster MF should have been playing 1 year prior over Dillon. McM numbers are amazing... biggest issue is strength of teammates. Bear Hughes Lappy AJF and Snively all should be highly considered for a roster spot next year
