Morrow isn’t ready.

that's probably the fairest value I have seen for DeAngelo, every other person had him at 4 year 1.5 - 2 Mil

A few things:

It’s re-sign, not resign.

Necas is not yet a C, and he won’t re-sign for that little

They didn’t re-up Kotkaniemi to play wing

Morrow is nowhere close to being NHL ready

I don't see who's resigning here?

And Ottawa doesn't do that... Well me, not Dorion I mean. It's very possible that you can fleece him. Me, good luck.

By the way, Brown is on pace for 60+ pts this season. He paced over 50+ pts the 2 seasons prior

He does that mostly at even strength being deployed in a matchup role and on the PK

Carolina's gotta be adding to that, especially if you want retained salary. Bear is good and fits a need for the Sens, but Brown's a 50+ point guy without needing power play time, and key penalty killer. gets more points than you'd expect, and is also worth a hell of a lot more than just his point total. If Ottawa wants to move on from Brown/can't bring him back (which I would rather just keep him but yknow, Ottawa), I like the idea of Bear+ for him, but that "+" is important.

A bit disingenuous to call Brown a 50pt player, when in fact he has never scored 50pts in a full season, is it not?

51 point pace in an 82-game last season, 60 point pace this season.

Yet he’s never hit 50pts, so he’s not a 50pt player.

Stats don’t lie my friend. Regardless of “pace”, he’s never been a 50pt player. I doubt he hits 50pts this year. It’s simply untrue to call him a 50pt player.

you know absolutely zero about stats, or evidently the players that we're discussing

Uhm…I know that Connor Brown has never scored 50pts. To call him a 50pt player is false.

Should I call the Canes a 116pt team since they’re on pace to garner that many points even though they only currently have 93?

The Canes were on pace for 117pts over 82 games in 56 games last year with 80pts. We’re they a 100pt team then too?

Any other facts you would like you discuss?

This all seems pretty pointless. Regardless of his point totals or his pace, we know he's a really good player and deserves a nice return.

That’s not in dispute.

I have an issue with someone stating something as a fact, when it’s clearly not.
