NSH declines. I wanted Gallagher on the Preds so much 5-6 years ago. Wouldn't touch him now. That contract could get bought out, if he has another year like this one.

I doubt we get someone like wood in a deal for Petry i think we will be lucky to get anything more than a 4th unless we are retaining or taking back a contract. And i think its pretty much impossible that a team takes on gallaghers full contract without incentive.

Learned that about Gallagher over all those good years : Never bet against the man.

I think Gallagher and Petry are still highly valued by other GMs, they're just having a bad season. The whole team is having a bad season. They couldn't move them at TDL because of cap space, but i guess we'll see this summer.

Also, Chychrun price is a good young player, a top prospect and a 1st. Maybe add a 2nd, like the Eichel trade.

If Habs want him, the cost is Romanov, Guhle and Flames 1st. They won't make that trade for 3 years of Chychrun.

Good because I don’t want to trade Mailloux. I saw him play 3 games in the OHL and he’s a solid #4 D, that will slot nicely behind Barron at #2.

You do not want Kane to destroy the team spirit. Letang too expensive and risky with injuries.

I would take Gallagher in Nashville since I think we could use an upgrade on the 2nd line and I think he’s do well there but I wouldn’t trade much of significance for him. Maybe a Kunin for Gallagher swap.

I hate Gallagher’s contract. It was an ok deal but not great when he was betting 30g and 54 points. He’s a lot of Craig smith was for us and I don’t think he’s worth over twice the cap Boston ended up giving smith who is a 22g 44ish point player. Add on top of that the trade protections Gallagher has and I think it’s a pretty bad contract with how he’s playing currently. I think he’s due a bounce back much like Duchene and Johansen have had this season though so I’d be willing to roll the dice on him since we have a good amount of capspace.
