Are you sure you want to trade the face of your franchise to a rival?

With all due respect, Jonathan toews at his age is no longer that good, abd Minnesota isn't giving up a 1st round pick. We don't have cap either. Nor the room to take him on

I doubt the rangers do that deal. Laf is still so young.

Yeah especially the way laf has played as of late, don’t get me wrong kane is great but for only two years it’s just a no go. Maybe kakko but that’s as high as I would go.

It's only 1 year, actually, but Kakko + 1st does sound more realistic.

Aside from this little thing called the salary cap, you're out of your mind if you think the Wild would give up a 1st/3rd/Warren for a year of Toews.

Yeah he sucks...look at last night

https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/video/jonathan-toews-spectacular-goal-vs-011330165.html

Toews is absolutely worth a late 1st, anything more though is questionable. Agree, Minnesota isn't the landing spot but saying Toews isn't good anymore is a bit of stretch. He's looked pretty good the past couple of months coming off of long covid a year earlier.

A late 1st isn't worth that much and Kane would absolutely cost a top prospect; widely reported that is likely the price for Kane and there would be plenty of teams interested if Kane decides to waive and the Hawks want to move him. For a team that is making a run at the cup, Kane is invaluable...has more hardware in his career then most teams do as a entire team and he's showing no signs of slowing down.

Laf and a 1st is the price CHI is going to want to see. Rangers should’ve done this at the trade deadline. They’re not a cup contender now, by the time Laf is few years in the league the Ziban,Panarin, goalie, Troubda (pylon potential considering his play style and age already). The NYR either wait to long and try to build a roster around LAF for a run when he’s like 26 or they go for it now while the pieces are there. Also Kane rips the Eastern conf in the regular season. If I’m NYR GM Kane for Laf plus a first is serious conversation at a minimum. So simmer the hatred down a notch. if you want to win a Stanley cup and/or gurantee ALOT of tickets and let’s not act like 88 KANE NYR merchandise is less valuable to owners than a Laf Jersey and have the AmeriGOAT on the team. So from the almighty dollar perspective to the OWNERS the Kane move is the move imo. So please observe both sides before mocking the post.
