MTL isn't taking on barries Cap hit, 0 chance on that EDM would have to take cap back like armia otherwise they won't do it.
That isn't enough for Chychrun.
NSH isn't taking kassian at his cap for only a 4th rounder, EDM will have to pay a bit more to try to move that contract.

Welcome to CapFriendly.

I would suggest that you have overpaid Montreal, underpaid Arizona as well as Yamamoto, Puljujarvi and Campbell, and you're over the cap limit.

Also you can only sign Forsberg for 7 years, but I don't see that happening anyhow, as there just isn't enough money to go around.

Barrie is a perennial 50-point RHD on a great contract, they aren't trading him for a 3rd liner let alone taking Armia back. What are you smoking?

They don't set Barrie's value.

He struggled earlier in the season but is back to last year's form, scoring 13 points in his past 13 games. If we split the season at the coaching change Feb 10, you'll see that he's a lot more valuable than most think:

Tippett: 38, 3-14-17 (-9) 0.45 P/GP
Woodcroft: 23, 3-15-18 (+12) 0.78 P/GP

They aren't trading him for a Jake Evans, let alone taking on a cap dump too. That's crazy talk.

There will always be a market for a good skating offensive dmen. He can run your top PP. he can take regular minutes (yes i know hes not the best defensively but he also not completely useless like other PP specialists). capable of still putting up around 50 points. There will be a market for him this summer for sure. A team like the NYI comes to mind who have alot of defensive dmen not much on offense...

As a Habs fan I agree with you about Barrie, it is the same thing that we Habs fans have been arguing relentlessly about Petry LOL.

Not nearly the same thing. Petry is 4 years older and appears to have lost a step, and is on pace to score just 20 points this season if he plays all remaining games. Plus he's making $6.25M for 3 more years ($20M cash owed), at which point he'll be 37.

Barrie is scoring at a point-per-game clip right now and is on pace to finish with 42 - more than twice Petry's scoring pace. He's only 30 and has 2 more years left at $4.5M ($9.5M owed). Very different situations.

Petry also has significant signing bonuses that make any potential buyout very painful.

So barrie is a perennial 50pt RD but you're willing to trade him AND Lavoie for a 4th line sometimes 3rd line C ? also I didn't say anything about him not having value or not being good either lol MTL is close to the cap so taking on his contract without giving one back won't work money wise, unless it's a trade that happens when MTL has already shed some contracts ( armia, Hoffman, petry, Byron etc) then MTL definitely takes this but they can't without having moved people already.

This is literally the opposite of what I've been saying. Pay attention.

Opps my bad man haha I thought it was you who posted this trade to begin with. EDM shouldn't trade him, especially for the package in this post.
