Note

I figured Ottawa isn't giving away a potential top 5 pick in the 2022 draft so I chose the 2nd in 2022 and the first in 2023 but it wouldn't be conditional since Fiala is a proven scorer in the NHL. Merrill just a throw in to help Guerin alleviate cap space and re-sign Middleton.

I think this would be a fair trade, dont know much about Pinto I would say the Wild would need to have a look at his medical records and see if the shoulder injury will be a problem long term. If the Wild didnt feel Pinto would be the guy I would swap out Pinto with Zack Ostapchuk.

I like the meat and potatoes of this trade - gives Fiala a new team to play for on their top line and gives the Wild a potential contributor on an ELC for the next couple years (assuming his health checks out). I think Guerin would prefer the 2022 1st if he can get it, but this kind of structure is probably more realistic.

OTT declines.

OTT is very high on Pinto, and no matter how good Fiala is, he isnt worth Bedard so youre not getting that pick without top2 protections

Lol, add Hartman who's on the best value contract in the league right now? No way.
