Clifford has been on waivers already this season, he likely will be next season too. Kings decline.

Lol there is something I have never heard before. Toffoli is not a defensive player.

Every fan base on here that wins a Nylander trade and still says, "this middle 6 winger or 2nd pair defenceman is better" blows my mind. What does Nylander have to do to get respect. Well I know the answer, not be a leaf. Put him on any other team and he'd be one of the most popular players ever

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about LMAO. He's been a regular on both special teams since his sophomore season and has always been known for having a solid 2-way game.

Nylander on the other hand is great offensively but a complete defensive liability

A defensive liability is about as misguided a response as one can make. But it's not entirely your fault. The media in TO likes to focus on story lines that create the clicks. Nylander is pretty good defensively, not elite but definitely above average. However, he is prone to losing focus from time to time. That in no way means he's a liability. But he'll play 30 games in a row where he is good defensively and then make a mistake and that's all the media focusses on. And then fans of other teams who also hate the Leafs only see that.

Ah yes the classic "you hate the leafs so you are wrong response." No Nylander is actually statistically bad defensively. He's constantly lazy on backchecks. I live in Toronto i dont need a high clickbait thread on reddit or something to see his gaffes because i see them like every other game

find someone who loves you as much as Leafs fans love other teams backup goalies (i kid, i kid...)

but seriously, Mrazek goes against the type of cap dumps that Arizona has been taking on. He's actually owed more real-life dollars ($4.2M/$4.4M) in his last 2 years than his cap hit ($3.8M), and we all know that the Coyotes are going to pinch every penny they can. I think the value is probably spot on, just think you'd probably be better off throwing a similar package at a different team with cap space - maybe CBJ does that deal and throws back the excellently named Jet Greaves as organizational depth at goalie? They don't have anyone else NHL ready to back up Merzlikins in their system.

Sure you do. His statistically bad defence this season was analyzed by Yost on TSN and it's entirely goaltending this season. He does have stretches where he doesn't back check hard but those stretches are fewer and further between now but like I mentioned. Some people only look at that.
