I'm lost on the Vegas trade. They'd need to give considerably for Ottawa to give Brown on a rental at 1.8m let alone the money theyre taking back on Dadonov. Is Whitecloud and his extension really worth all that trouble?

Drouin bit is tricky but I see the vision. Still think the rumoured deal was likely around Dvorak but time will tell.

i mean im a petty big fan of whitecloud from what ive seen of vegas games, think hed be a really nice complemet to their left side at a nice $ and has term. I figure vegas adds but i think whitecloud is the main piece of value imo

I mean Dadonov only has one year left and has been fairly productive, Brown is a UFA but Whitecloud has a nice reasonable extension with term, is that really worth giving it up for dumping Dadonov, to me it's not but I get the situation Vegas is in though there's probably other options too so Idk.

you know what i totally forgot dadonov would only have 1 year left after this one, but they are still getting like 6 millionish in capspace,and an upgrade at winger at the expense of their third pairing RD. I think its kind of fairish

Brown by himself at 1.8m while scoring at the 60 point pace he's been at is at least a 1st and even for 1 year Vegas would likely still need to add to dump Dadonov. I'm not sure what Whitecloud's value is but I'm doubtful its a 1st+?

i think brown @1.8 with 1 year left for Whitecloud is almost a wash, maybe even ottawa adds a touch tbh. dadonov being thrown in was my way of swinging the value a bit so ottawa could get potentially another small piece

i mean i think hes certainly serviceable on the second pair, but i think hes like ideally a teams 4th or best 5th d-man. I just like his style of play and how it fits next to either sanderson or chabot, both of whom would theoretically do most of the heavy lifing on those pairings anyways

meh I probably wouldnt do him for drouin straight up tbh, drouins made of paper maché. id do like a future third or something but thats probably about as much as id add value-wise. Prospects maybe like Guenette or someone more on that level

The problem is, when I see white at 3.75m, I see no value, no negative and no positive. IMO drouins value is 2nd + 4th. But I'll just ask for the value of a 2nd.

your view on white is flawed then. at 3.75 he has value, thats what a middle 6 player costs and thats what he is, he's probably worth like a late second-round pick at that price tag but since drouins ceiling is higher i figure the sens would add a touch. but im not really interesting in putting anything of note in, id do like a pick swap where the sens send the TB second if the habs send a third this year but thats about it

nah not really down to trade skolov, looks like hes going to be a good third line player with added PP value as a shooter. Id do like cole reinhart or someone who projects as like a complementary player with nothing to offset in return from the habs, but anyone with goalscoring value im probably not trading, the sens desperately need scorers
