I saw the retention on Petry and wanted to say no but damn that is a great package! Good job I would say the Habs accept.

Caps should absolutely not do the Habs trade, such an overpay. IF they traded both of their top prospects, they could get a better player than Petry.

Blackwood for Samsonov seems like a lateral move and while Smith is promising, Caps don't really have a need for him since they have Alexeyev coming up.
