The Leafs could probably match that if they wanted to, and a whole lot of other teams across the league could offer him a whole lot more the way he's playing right now. my guess is he goes out west

Eller trade is fine for value, but STL isn't the place for him.

Ridiculous to trade Samsonov for some magic beans, especially in division. Absolutely not when your option is hoping that low-balling Husso would work.

Hell no to the Mikheyev and Schultz contracts. Mikheyev is a run of the mill 3rd liner that just takes up cap, especially when the Capitals could simply move Wilson to the 1st where he belongs, Oshie to the 2nd, Protas to the 3rd, Hathaway to 4RW, and AJF to 4LW.

Schultz is garbage in his own end, and is not worth even half of that contract. The Capitals defense would improve mightily if Washington just let Schultz walk, move TvR back to his natural side as the 3RD, and let Alexeyev or Johansen be the full time 3LD.

Vanecek is underpaid here, he likely gets somewhere near 2 mil this offseason.

Snively and Hagelin would be off LTIR next year. Hagelin likely traded, Snively could also be the player to replace someone like MoJo, or perhaps try him on the 1st with Ovi and Kuzy, as his playstyle could be complimentary to what that line brings.
