I personally don’t think taking on large contracts is a good idea for Buffalo considering they won’t be a top team for at least 1-2 more years, and by then you’ll have a middle 6er in Couture making 8 mil, which is around the time guys like Dahlin, Cozens, Thompson, etc will be due for some pretty big boosts in their contracts

And other contracts will have fallen off the books, the cap will have gone up and we still have 18 million in cap space

Sure the contract is bad, but GMs typically pay for the player right now, not what the player is gonna be in a couple years.

Plays all situations, scoring at a .70 ppg pace with low level players on his line every night also a monster performer in the playoffs (.87 ppg). Why wouldn’t he be getting a 1st?
