I really love Fiala and think he'd play great with Timo + Logan while Hertl centers Barabanov and Eklund. But to acquire him Sharks will probably have to find a way to move Labanc which is pretty unlikely as of now.

Three of the players you added does nothing for Minnesota and they have no room or need for them

Clearly didn't see Hill shutout the Kings that one game.

Wild can't afford Fiala so the team should be salivating with a top 10 pick plus the other players included.

Not sure why we'd salivate over a 10th pick and a bunch of spare parts, especially when we're adding a 2nd for some reason? It's an okay package (minus the 2nd) if we have to trade him, but you won't find a single Wild who would rather have that package than Kevin Fiala on the team.

Could always just buy out Labance -- only an 800K cap hit for two season and 1.something for 2 years after that.

Well yea you'd rather have Fiala now but the cap is the cap. He will be a cap casualty unless they find a way to move more parts out, but with Parise and suter cap hits increasing it looks less and less likely he stays.

This package reminds me of the burns trade years ago
Burns and a 2nd

Seto, Coyle, first rounder

Can see the logic behind the deal...

If you were to offer anything even close to Setoguchi, Coyle and a 1st for Fiala, THAT might be enticing. This is not close.

So that would look like Labanc/Barabanov/Balcers, Bordeleau and a 1st for Fiala and a 2nd.

The other players do nothing. Minnesota is resigning Fleury. Will have Talbot. Minnesota also already has 8 good dman under contract next year. So no, Minnesota isn't going to accept whatever offered because they are cap strapped

Would you do labanc and sharks 1st (#9-11) for Fiala and a second?

The burns trade is a great comparable, but sharks gave wild #28 instead of #9-11.

He's not. He's on record as wanting to play next year. Guerin is on record as saying if everything goes good, plan is to resign him

You can't use the burns trade made by Chuck fletcher. One of the worst GM. Kevin LeBlanc isn't better than anything we have

How much does he resign for? 3-5 million? Furthers my point in Fiala highly likely being gone

Labanc is terrible, was curious if he had any value from another team's market lol
