I don't think you'd have to trade up for Luneau. He looks more like an early 2nd at the moment.

Tough to say especially with the drop in stock of Russian draft eligible prospects. Either way I see him going at latest the end of the first round.

I think the Isles decline pretty quickly. Not a “hockey trade” that seriously improves LD or a package involving Beau for a big improvement at Forward

Nevermind, just realized who you are and nobody is helping Calgary in their offseason cap situation by taking on the last year of Monahan’s contract without decent compensation. Plus Calgary has clearly already moved on from Valimaki so what does it even matter?

You say that yet insiders say there is a lot of interest in Monahan.

How has Calgary moved on from Monahan?

Interest in what Calgary is willing to pay to move him.
And I said the Flames have obviously moved on from Valimaki considering he’s played most the season in the AHL although he is NHL caliber.

I'm not sure what the move that Montreal could make to get Beau, but this one isn't really in it. Evans is a fine bottom 6 (which, if you know the Islanders, they have plenty of). Valimaki gives them a body to throw at LD2 that's better than what they had this season, but I feel like if the Isles really wanted him, they could throw a mid-rounder at Calgary on their own time - the Flames have had him buried for so long this season it's hard to see him having much value.

I think if Montreal wanted to trade for Beau it'd be more of a package for a package. I personally would love to try and acquire Jordan Harris or Kaiden Guhle to develop into LD2 for the Isles, but know they're going to be hard to pry out of a rebuilding Habs team.

Also don't think I didn't notice you getting Luke Tuch back to Buffalo where he belongs!!

Thats a baseless claim on Monahan

Kylington literally passed through waivers at the start of last season and only played a total of 8 games. Did they move on from him? No he learned he needed to earn a spot, went and buffed up in the summer then came back better than ever. Valimaki is learning that he cant just walk onto the team

I honestly don't think NYI/MTL are good partners in that kind of package to be honest
