Why would they do that ? Lol they've needed Cs for years and years and you want them to trade the 1st overall for a winger? I love slafkovsky but he isn't NHL ready next year either. MTL should absolutely keep the 1st.

besides the fact that are most glaring need is still down the middle, would think if the habs win the lottery and get to pick first at home, they arent going to move that pick. Moving down one spot to add a second makes very little since. We have a lot of picks already. The only way the habs could mess up this draft is to do something crazy like that, if we hit on even 25% of our picks in this years draft our rebuild will be well on its way.

Only possibility of moving down with our first rounder is if we win a couple more spots and get hustled by the lottery and end up around like 5-6 and Buffalo calls to trade two of their first round picks for it. First overall you just pick him, yes some years he's a bust but he's most likely a good player at the end of the day.
