Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Severson to 1RHD- upgrade and should work with Morrissey.
Gudbrandson to 3 RHD- veteran help that will add size. Could mentor Stanley or would give Heinola a chance to show what he has. Gudbrandson and Stanley would be intimidating.
Samberg would replace Dillon 2 LHD. Lose a little size here but need to get that 1RHD
Not a DeMelo fan but he has good value

And get a new coaching staff!

Wheeler isn't a center played for one period ages ago and didn't like it he's rw so Lowry is pretty locked up 3c

At this time in his career Wheeler should play 3rd line minutes and on the powerplay. Put him on 3RW if you wish and put Stastny at 3C. I like Lowry but he is no lock at 3C.

It is close value. All depends if Severson resigns in NJ which I hate to say is probably going to happen.

It's not though.
Dillon is a replacement level guy, DeMelo at best a 4-5 guy.
No reason for Devils to move someone as important to them as Severson for that.

But yeah, there are rumblings of Severson and Tom Fitzgerald being interested in working an extension out in the summer.

Ummm did you not watch the 2019-20 season? Wheeler was the 2nd line center for the majority of that season, not saying he should play center now but he's played plenty of center.

Lowry is a terrible 3C, desperately need to replace him with a center who isn't an offensive black hole.

New Jersey would never do this, even if Severson isn't resigning they'd want a different return than this though it sounds like Severson will be staying with NJ, agree they need to upgrade on DeMelo though.
