We aren't taking on Josh Bailey. Minnesota was never interested in Josh Bailey and we aren't taking on someone's else cap dump

I mean, he'd be a good fit for you guys if we're being honest. His cap hit is a little high, but he's a good middle-6 player and can help balance out what you're losing in Fiala here.

I'm not saying it's a good move for Minnesota's cap, but Bailey as a player would fit in perfectly fine.

Bailey is terrible defensively , he wouldn't be a good fit on the wild.

We have younger players who are better, cheaper and would be better. We aren't looking for anymore middle 6 players. Even with lost of fiala, if Beckman or Mitchell isn't ready, we could sign better, cheaper short gap option in free agency

Bailey would be a 4th liner for the wild who’s top 9 is somewhat set next year. Even with fiala being traded beckman or mason shaw will likely slot into his spot instead of bringing in another depth player

I get the Bailey to Minnesota hate, but at this point he's a one year stop-gap at 3 million dollars. MIN could even retain some salary and flip him again if they wanted. I got the hate at the deadline, this one I can see MIN doing just because they might not be able to afford Fiala and the Isles need to clear roster and cap space to make the trade work
