Is he really worth a first + more?

Pass from EDM. Zacha doesn't bring any dimension that the Oilers should be looking for if they insist on trading Puljujarvi (two of physicality, defensive aptitude, shooting proficiency).

I agree...that is the "comp" I have been using the most.
2nd or 3rd plus decent prospect.

(would love to see Zacha find success elsewhere too, like Bennett has)

Probably not to a lot of teams.
I'd guess he would be in this range: from say, the Donato comp on low end (3rd round pick) to Miller comp on high end (1st, 3rd, player).
With the most likely being a 2nd or 3rd and a prospect.

(this all assumes a new contract of $3-4 million for 3-4 years).

The Puljijarvi comp was based on Galchenyuk/Domi trade in 2018.

              Galchenyuk (through 2018) (drafted #3 in 2012)
              Stats: (GP--G--A--PTS--PPG)

              Last 1y: 82--19--32--51--0.62
(had 2 years remaining at $4.9 million)

              Domi (through 2018) (drafted #12 in 2013)
              Stats: (GP--G--A--PTS--PPG)

              Last 1y: 82--9--36--45--0.55
(was pending RFA who signed 2 years x $3.15m after trade)

              Zacha (through 2022) (drafted #6 in 2015)
              Stats: (GP--G--A--PTS--PPG)
              Career: 381--68--107--175--0.46

              Puljujarvi (through 2022) (drafted #4 in 2016)
              Stats: (GP--G--A--PTS--PPG)
              Career: 257--46--51--97--0.38

(pending RFA, evolving hockey projection is 4 years x $3.4 million)

As you can see, there are some similarities.
It was also a trade suggestion used by Eric Duhatschek (The Athletic) before the deadline.

As you can see, there are some similarities.

Sure, there are some similarities but scoring numbers aren't all there is to hockey. In the case of Domi for Galch, both teams fulfilled a need for their team. Domi had the appeal of "fulfilling" MTL's need for a C (at the time) whereas Galch had already shown he couldn't do that while Galch had shown to be the better scorer- which ARI needed. I get that these aren't trade offers, but the point I'm trying to make is that a trade like the Domi for Galch one was made to fulfill a need for both parties. In your trade, I don't see what need this fulfills for EDM and, as such, I don't believe the comp works.
