I know we should be focusing on the final, but I'm wondering about Cirelli, Sergachev, and Cernak extensions potentially coming this offseason and I have decide I would love nothing more than for Cernak to sign a 8 year deal for less than 4M
Yeah history would say extensions will come in this offseason for big RFAs entering the last year of their bridge deals.
I feel like an 8-year contract could burn us down the line, but I think it's worth the risk if we can get him <=$4.0M.
Maybe it'll be similar to Gudas being paid to hit people for $2.5M a year now with the cap expected to start increasing again.
If we can get Cirelli and Cernak for 8 years and have Sergy bridge until 2025 when the capbump is gonna happen I'd call it a win. Wishful think probably but hey.

I feel like with Cirelli and Sergachev we could give them each 6M for 5 or 6 years and while that might be below market value then they are both only like 30 which is plenty young enough for them to get another big contract and you gotta think by then we won't be in nearly as bad as a cap situation
We'd probably throw in a few steak dinners and a Fun Pass to Busch Gardens.
With the cap on the up again and assuming he's still 100ish point player, absolutely it'll be around 15M.
Also, did you all see who popped back up in the ACGMs in recent days?
