Is Palat the most clutch player in the whole league?

Random idea I'm pondering right now for next season after the TDL. What would you all think of a roster of:

Palat-Stamkos-Kuch
Hagel-Point-Pavelski
Paul-Cirelli-Colton
Fine-Wine-Line

Hedman-Bogo
McDonagh-Cernak
Sergy-Shattenkirk

+21 roster player

Adding those two do work if we get double 50% retention on both. And before I'm asked, I am implying we trade Foote (kinda similar to what happened with Joseph).

I've been keen for Tampa to land Pavelski for ages. Not keen on moving Foote tho.

Some recency bias here, but this series has made it clear that Foote would probably be slaughtered on the ice with his skating against a team like Colorado. I'd rather clear him out of the way, save a little cap, and plan on playing Perbix and/or Thompson in 23-24.

Pavelski ages better than the fine wine line.

Boost and Boot would be a better option I think. Neither JT or Perb will be ready next season. Maximize Foote's value before you move him. Guy is gonna be a stud he needs the right pair.

I've got some Saturday discussion topics for anyone interested:

- If healthy enough to play, do we even want Point back in the lineup? We have played our best without him, and Nash has been doing a great job in a limited role. Seems like a risk we don't need to take while we're facing elimination.
- Will Killorn ever score? I mean it doesn't even feel like he's getting chances.
- Is Sergachev our best d-man in the playoffs/this series? Hedman has been better this series than he has in previous ones, but it feels like Sergy has been doing good aside from his blown defense on Kadri's game 5 goal.

If Points anything less that 100% he doesn't come in.

Killorn. He's due. Watch him score the cup winner and secure his spot in the lineup for next season. I also feel he's made some pretty boneheaded moves defensively. Point Cirelli Hagel? Either way, moving Killer in the offseason to prioritize Paul (and maybe Palat at a discount) is starting to seem more like a necessity than an option.

Sergy has really stepped up. Plus he seems to go go up a gear after a mistake. That miss in game 5, to back it up with a superb game 6. I don't think you can trade him unless it's for a kings ransom. I know it's recency bias but if you don't judge a guy on the biggest stage when do you judge him?

I think it's time to kill the Sergachev trade trend and pound the McDonagh trade/buyout before the 2023-24 season idea.

McDonagh Killorn to Seattle for picks and high 5s? :-) not state income tax so they're not taking a pay cut. Beautiful city. Sick uniforms. Chance to be a main part of building something great rather than a support act.

Heddy - JT
Sergy - Cernak
Rutta/Bogo/Perbix/UFA Cup Chaser

I didn't know Washington didn't have state income tax, so maybe that could work. I still want to hold onto McDonagh for next season though. But for 2023:

Hedman - Bogo
Sergy - Cernak
Veteran - Thompson/Perbix/Foote

I've been playing with Myers contract from NSH on making Rutta fit for 22-23 (since 23-24 wouldn't be an issue without McDonagh's contract), and I would say it's definitely possible.

100% agreed. If he's at full strength-I mean REALLY at full strength-pull the trigger. If not, don't risk it. They've played their best without him.

Again, agreed. Feel for Killer, but he's just not producing, and his net-front presence on the PP has been admirably filled by Perry. Makes sense to get some picks and open up space for both Paul and Palat at the same time.

Burskovsky is still questionable and Nichuskin limped into Amalie this morning. Injury situation looks to be evening up.

How many times has a puck deflected off Cernak the past 3 postseasons and gone into our own net? I feel like the number would need 2 hands to count.
