Have to imagine that Helm or Cogliano gets the nod for game 1 over NAK.

Agree with this. NAK doesn’t kill penalties, but he sure does get a lot love from the Avs fan base for a guy who takes bad penalties and only seems to score in blowouts.

It’s good and all but not the best. Top six is perfect by the way. Third line is okay but the fourth line is questionable. It’s hard to imagine that Helm doesn’t get the nod for game one instead of NAK. Defense is fine. For me it’s hard to imagine that Byram will play with Johnson. He will probably play with. Makar. Rets of the Defense is okay I guess, but the goalies are perfect.

Agreed.
As much as I value Cogliano and Helms forechecking, hard to ignore NAKs ability to score points and his willingness to throw a check.

Helm and Cogliano over the past 7-8 games have taken about the same number of penalties without NAKs points

You may think the 4th line is questionable, but I disagree.
How many playoff teams right now have the quality of scratches COL does (Helm, Cogliano and J Johnson).? Deep team with options.

As for Byram with Makar, absolutely not. Toews and Makar have been arguably the best top pairing in the league, why on earth would you split that up? Lol

Only comment is that Burakovsky and Nichushkin should flip sides.
LOC and NAK will have short leashes to start the series. Cogliano is my first call up if we need a change

I don’t care for the Avs so how the hell am I supposed to know, but I stand by my word the NAK probably will not play in game one, and I’ll say this now and I might say it again this my opinion i know do stand by your word that Makar and Toews should play together know knowing that they are really good together.

NAK practising on Line 3

others like NAK as COL dark horse to be a playoff contributor.

Kadri will play game 1 and normally rolls with Bura. Could be a shift there, who knows.

NAK is one of those players who seems to be valued more by fans than the team. Kinda like an inverse of Compher.
