That is what I got out of it also, or back in a limited role... which I don't see as sustainable

Did you not see prices exit interview…basically said he’s not sure if he can play 50-55 games as he is right now. Doesn’t mean he won’t be able to but no other team will take in that risk even at 5M retained…
All Carey price trades should be banned

Price (-$3M) for Samsonov, Leason, 1st, 2nd

Even at $7.5M that Price contract is not something that the Caps should want any part of. And that doesn't even include giving up that package.

He is under contract for 4 more seasons and will be 35 when the new season starts. Considering age, off-ice situations, and cap hit...hard pass.
