Admittedly a newer NHL fan (3rd year of watching every game for NJ) so i'm still learning asset value when it comes to FA and trades but as much as i love Merc i think i take this with the '23 pick top 3 protected (idk if thats a dealbreaker)

Based on Market Value, not really. A 1st, 2nd; and young NHL guy for a near 40 goal scorer and 80 point guy on a well below market value pay is worth that. That being said, I don’t think NJ should do this (even if the value is there)
