MDZ and Branstrom most likely gone as both asked for a trade earlier in the season, OTT most likely gonna trade Murray as Gus is on a 1 way contract, hopefully they launch zeitsev into orbit...

Meh probably 6th imo. If we somehow get Giroux or Fiala, I’d be way more enthusiastic.

Keeping our 1st line intact while getting rid of Zaitsev and giving Stutzle someone who is great as well as Joseph to keep up with.

Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Fiala-Stutzle-Joseph
Formenton-Pinto-Brown
Kelly-Kastelic-Watson

Now this forward group is much deeper , all 4 lines are strong and tough and I’d be scared to face them

White could be gone, almost was at deadline to MTL, trade could be revisited in offseason, 3 days till draft lottery.

Shane Wright would look splendidly on Stu's right side

I’d rather have Cooley or Slafkovsky I think . More dynamic

Both left shots tho, and Drake is OTT only right shot RW and SLAFKOVSKY is a LW tho at 6'4" at 18 yikes he could grow a few more inches and just wreck everyone

I know but you’re talking about Slafkovsky as another Mikko Rantanen or Logan Cooley could be another Stutzle. That’s an elite level talent.

Wright would be another Bergeron but we already have Pinto, Norris, Stutzle. We should be set on centre longterm

Wright is a right shot, he can be slotted on the RW next to Stu and play RW instead of C

Still. I’m scared Wright will be a 2 way 50pt player instead of an offence driving 70+ pt player

i only know about these draft eligible players is were they are ranked, so i do not know their comparable, OTT needs a goal scorer to play with Stu, that is who they should draft, if they 1st OA, there is a no brainer they will draft Wright.

Dorion seemed pretty positive towards Brannstrom in his press conference. Said he was the most improved player on D, and mentioned they're already working on the extension. Now that could all just be posturing for trade negotiation purposes, but I think it's more likely that they just want to keep him still. It makes sense to me, I can't imagine he has very much trade value, and he's at least an everyday NHL player.

Zaitsev , White and Murray need to go.
A bonafide top 6F needs to come via UFA or trade.

These 2 things need to happen.
Ideally , I’d try to keep the 2022 1st and take one of Kemell, Savoie or Jiricek.
Maybe Formenton and a protected 2023 1st gets it done for Fiala

I've seen a lot of people galaxy braining the discussion saying you take Cooley or Slafkovsky, but I think it's a lot of Shane Wright burnout. We've been hearing about this kid since he was like 15, and I think people are devoting more attention to other names. To me it's still a layup if you're drafting 1st. Nothing wrong with shifting a C to the wing. I don't think anyone is gonna be hurt if an elite shot C in Josh Norris suddenly becomes Tim Stützle's LW in a couple of years.

I've been mentally trying to sim to the draft since the moment the season ended. Outside of the Lottery and like maaybe some Andrei Kuzmenko news, there's nothing coming for months on the Sens front. I think I'm just about tapped out for new things to say about Ottawa's off season.

I'm not sure we can afford Fiala (7/8 years @ $8-9m) within the medium term cap space.
I think a more doable approach would be to sign Claude Giroux for 1year (if Florida loses) or 3 years (if Florida wins the Cup), move 2023 Calder Trophy candidate Shane Pinto up to play wing with Stutzle, put Ridly Greig between Formenton and Connor Brown, and use assets to acquire Jakob Chrychun.
