If I’m Jarmo I wouldn’t make that trade, the more I think about it the more I don’t think Petry will fit in Columbus, Jarmo is good with the young defenseman and pronging in a top pair RHD means the younger RHD who played and developed well this season don’t play. I would also say this trade doesn’t make Columbus a contending team so they would be better off playing their younger players.

On a side note, Montreal should keep Allan as he is their starter with Price potentially retiring this offseason.

I love the idea of Petry, especially if MTL will retain salary. Giving up Tex would be a tough pill to swallow though. He has such a bright future. I’d rather try to do Bemstrom and or Foudy with a higher pick.
