I don't think NYI does this. I will say though that now that Trotz is gone, there's may be more of a fit for Barrie, but I still doubt it since we have Pulock and Dobson. Adding Barrie to that is three offensive RHDs (although Pulock is more two-way than offensive). Most coaches like doing opposite style pairings, and we really need an offensive LHD.

I'm also not sure how valuable Puljujarvi is to NYI. We need someone better. If he can only score at 0.5 PPG with McDavid and Draisaitl, I can only imagine it'd be lower with Barzal or Nelson.

Part of me feels like the Islanders just say yes and turn around to flip Barrie for what he's actually worth, but more than likely they pass because Barrie doesn't fit a need for them.
