Detroit passes, Giving up Larkin for Barzal is a redundant move. We're trying to get better. And Larkin for Barzal is a lateral move at best.

Isles would decline - both Larkin & Barzal have only a year left but Barzal is at least an RFA and can't just walk away after 2022-23. Doesn't really help Detroit either, though - Barzal is arguably better than Larkin, but not enough that it would make sense for them to trade their captain.
