Description
Jarmo is once again not going to be shy in the off-season but he’ll continue his fame which is building from within by adding an elite RHD with a phenomenal shot in Jiricek to eventually line up next to Z, some may believe he is not there at 6 which could definitely happen but if he is CBJ would have to scoop him up. Next at #12 I have CBJ taking Cutter Gauthier, this years draft is so wide open so it’s hard to predict but Gauthier is a really nice player, he brings size and a heavy shot but don’t dis credit his play making ability that we saw throughout his great season, there’s also some versatility with him to play wing or center to take some pressure off of future franchise
player Kent Johnson. I’ve added my analysis of my proposed trades below but I also have CBJ signing veterans Paul Stastny and Ryan Braun, Stastny brings a veteran and leader presence to the room which is much needed with this young team, I see him as a bottom six and potentially PK player, Braun adds help to a struggling D from last year and helps fill out some questions he’s a cheap 1 year type of player with a lot of experience to help the young D. The last FA signing I have is Nic Deslauriers, he brings some grit to the team which is something many players expressed that they needed this year, Deslauriers can play bottom line minutes and won’t contribute much offensively but could be a mentor to some young guys and be a nice physical presence for cbj

Trades
1.
CBJ
  1. 2023 4th round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Any team, Bemstrom needs a change in scenery and never fully clicked with cbj
2.
CBJ
  1. 2024 4th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Again, any team will do but Carlson needs a place where he’s going to play and Ottawa might be that, remember he was a first round pick for a reason
3.
CBJ
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (WPG)
SEA
  1. Nyquist, Gustav
  2. 2023 4th round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Seattle has cap room but they also could use a veteran who stills contributes like Gus, and with lots of picks to play around with I could see them liking this trade
4.
CBJ
  1. Miller, J.T.
Additional Details:
Miller comes with an extension 6x7 AAV
VAN
  1. Foudy, Liam
  2. Knazko, Samuel
  3. 2023 1st round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Columbus adds Miller as another player with versatility in positions, Miller could be a nice add to play with Laine as a player that can score but always pass really well, Vancouver re tools by adding a young forward in Foudy that could excel with Vancouver and Knazko to help with their very thin defensive prospects pool and a first on top of those two players which is a risky move for cbj especially in a loaded 2023 draft class but Columbus has prospects and young stars it’s time to add a proven top 6 player in Miller.

Red Wings decline. This isn't Quantum Leap. Nyquist is part of the past.

Can’t see Columbus making the Toronto trade, Nylander really isn’t a fit imo. They need a center, Johnson isn’t a center and hasn’t been a center in almost 2 years. If anything I’d trade for Miller, but only if he came with an extension. Nylander only has 2 years left which also worries me when talking about a 1st round pick, at least with Miller being form Columbus it give me more hope with him staying in Columbus then Nylander. Miller is also a center which fits better in Columbus.

I forgot about Gus playing in Detroit lol, fixed it and like my new idea better
Got rid of a nylander trade also, realized after playing around with the team Miller made more sense and seems like VAN is willing to move him

Foudy and Knazko are no where near good enough prospects to land Miller. The 23' 1st is decent though. Cole Sillinger is probably the only way CBJ could land Miller. And it'd be Sillinger + 1st

Sillinger is a huge part of the future I doubt they’ll move him anytime soon

That doesn't get J T Miller, And try closer to $8,500,000 x 8 years to sign him. Coming off a 100 point season there's no freaking way he's signing for $7,000,000 x 6 years.

I can understand that. Of course you'd have to understand you are trying to get a player coming of a 99 point season for basically nothing in this proposal though. It would be Sillinger plus in terms of value if you really did want to make a play for Miller is the ultimate point.
