I'd kill for Mercer. He was my draft crush two years ago. I'd be really surprised if the Devils traded him but he'd be my ideal target.

Raty is who I want from NYI. Still mad MN didn't draft him. Two picks I want back: Lundell instead of Rossi, Raty instead of Lambos.

I think it should be the 10th OVR and Comtois

Wow looking at that list is a blast from the past haha

Oh 100% 10OA is pretty much a really good lottery ticket, it would be a long shot for whomever is drafted there to be as impactful as Fiala.

I just think if 10OA is offered the attached prospect would drop a tier (From Perreault/Tracey) to guys like BOG, and Colangelo

Unless NJ/OTT offer their 2022 1st I feel like we’re the most likely spot

On pure value I’d agree. But if OTT puts up #7 and Pinto, which I don’t think is out of the question with multiple teams in on the deal, then the prospect value stays. For what it’s worth, would you rather have Fiala now or wait 3ish years to see if Perrelault can do what he does? It’s all about timelines here.

Problem is Comtois needs a new deal. Wild can really only take on ELCs or prospects.

Oh if OTT offers that I hope we dont try to match honestly. We'd have to offer #10, Perreault and another piece to beat that and I'd rather stick to the rebuild we dont need to rush into it, we're still at least a year away even with Fiala. Our compete window probably opens in 2 years unless this offseason gets crazy.

Rushing the rebuild because OTT (Or NJ) offers a better package would be short-sighted imo

I think Tracey, and #10 is the most I see us moving or a package like above with the BOS first

Don't get me wrong Fiala is on the top of my wishlist, I just hope Verbeek does this the "right" way and doesnt overpay or rush into things, and seeing how he retained Eakins, that makes me think hes playing the long game here

This is the interesting part about all of the teams that are rumored in on Fiala. They all have pieces and are close to being ready to come out of a rebuild. OTT and NJD are more likely to to offer those pieces given where they’re at. And I also think ANA is about 2 years from putting up that kind of package for a Fiala. I’m also rooting for him to end up on a beach tho, kid has taken a lot of crap and he’s earned that.

Comtois isn’t exactly owed a big check yet
