I'd rather just keep Sissons-- younger, cheaper, less term.

NSH isn't trading Lauzon for a 3rd only a few months after they traded a 2nd to get him.

I don't think NSH needs to bring back Cousins. I'd be open to Lyubushkin, though I think he'll get more (either term or $$).

Lauzon is definitely someone Nashville overpaid a little for, I dont see him moving out but they probably should move him out.
Cousins was has actually been pretty good the last few yrs and i think both sides take that contract
Lyubushkin i will add an extra yr and a little more money. He would be a great fit for the D
The sissons/goodrow was a tough decision for me but Sissons just hasn’t been that great in a lot of the basic value analytics since Hynes has become the coach and I think Goodrow fits what Nashville does better. I think the rangers could definitely give up a little more bc goodrow is a little more pricey.

I disagree about Sissons. I like the chemistry he has with Jeannot and Trenin. I've got no interest in taking on Goodrow for five years at that cap hit.

Cousins wouldn't be missed. Even if they do bring him back for another year, I don't think a raise is justified.

Poile certainly did overpay for Lauzon, but what's done is done. No point in shipping him out so soon. Let's at least what he can do for the team first.

re: Lauzon -- NSH definitely overpaid, by a lot-- but they won't cut their losses yet. He'll most likely get a low aav 2-year deal, imo.

re: Cousins -- I have a feeling that spot can be taken by a rookie or someone already on the roster next season: Afanasyev, Parssinen, Luff, McCarron, Olivier, etc.

re: Sissons -- honestly, I'm not worried about his analytics as much because most it is just brought down due to NSH's awful PK. They need to fix that, and then his numbers will improve-- his even strength numbers (FF%, CF%, etc.) are fine for a 3rd/4th liner (better than Goodrow this year actually), and he's easily the best faceoff guy on the team. He also had great chemistry with Trenin/Jeannot (though I think Jeannot will play on a different line next season). I agree that Goodrow fits Hynes' style and system, but I'm not interested in actively pursuing him and that contract.

Would the Predators do something like Kunin and Myers for Bailey?

I would hope one on those guys take a roster spot but I am not that confident that any of them would get it accept egor possibly. Goodrow was not a fit in NY, I don’t know why everyone was looking forward to him in NY. Hynes not as successful plays a system that is definitely somewhat similar of what the bottom 2 lines did in Tampa Bay so I think it is a fit in that sense and goodrow is the better pk of the two but part of it is a below avg assistant coaching staff in Nashville that makes some of the players pk struggles less so than the actual players. With lauzon, I don’t see the upside at all in him so its way better to get a 3rd now than wait two yrs and possibly get nothing or a super late pick if he is a fail.

Cousins - Novak - Tomasino played fantastic in the games they played together so I would like that to at least be an option next season in nsh. The sissons line only have a 49 xgf% which isn’t a fantastic stat but using individual analytics Jeannot and Trenin both look great and I think they are helping sissons a lot.

Goodrow was instrumental in our quick emergence. Hard pass. He is sorely missed right now. It shows just how important he is with his relentless forechecking and puck retrieving.
