Description
I think Kase is a UFA and not an RFA. So I didn't resign him.

Run 8 D. They will constantly be rotating if they are all healthy. Don't worry too much about the dpairs I set.

Robertson was playing rw in the AHL to end the season.

Dubas was talking about having more of a designated role for the 4th line. Douglas is 6'9 and 240+lbs. He had 34 pts in 67 games and was a +8 in the AHL. So he can obviously play. Although I have not watched him. I see Steeves and Anderson getting a legit shots this season also.

Miller at 50% retention would be a HUGE addition to the team. Unfortunately only for 1 year. I think the Leafs should consider this. As should Van.
Also there is about 2-2.5m cap leftover here for errors in signings or to sign 1 more guy.

Thoughts?

You’re going to need to give up more than just a 3rd to dump Mrazek and Holl.

Take out the 3rd if you want Canucks to retain salary on Miller. Other than that I think it’s a decently fair trade

Lmao bro? Two top prospects and our first for a dude that just had a breakout year and is 30 years old. This is a disaster.

holl is not a dump.. Holl could easily net a 3rd round pick. Maybe even a 2nd.

So basically it's 2 x 3rds to dump Mrzaek. Arizona can resell Holl at the TDL for a 2nd + maybe.

60-70 point (at minimum) power forward. who can play centre and left wing. He is exactly what we are missing. He has value of an 8m a year player and he will only be 2.6m on the cap. Keep in mind we are also getting Schenn who was solid this past year and would be a good bottom guy at low cost and a 3rd.

But losing Knies, Niemela, 1st and Kerfoot is ALOT. I am well aware. But I think that's what it would take.

You’re super overvaluing Holl who is decent but older. He’s worth MAYBE at very most a 3rd at the TDL. In the off-season team will be able to use Free agency to get equivalent players so no need to pay for him. And Arizona is going through a rebuild so a player like Holl who is 30 isn’t needed at all

Nothing like cleaning out all the cupboards for ONE shot. Holyyyyyyy Jesus this is bad lol. Dubas and Shanahan wouldn't even need to be fired because they would be murdered in downtown Toronto before MLSE could even pick up the phone to fire them lol

Also, I just love the fourth line of Clifford-Douglas-Simmonds. Should have read that before I looked at anything else. Yay, 3 players who have a hard time skating and taking penalties all on the fourth line, WHAT COULD GO WRONG BABY. Lets throw away ALL OUR FUTURE because we take 28 penalties per game. WOOOOOOO plan the parade
