Knies is a really good prospect so I don't think so. But maybe you are right. Of course I'm just speculating here.

Take out Bertuzzi and then Detroit might consider. Knies looks like a real good player, so leafs probably don't use him to dump Mrazek either.

With the Leafs cap situation, Knies being on an ELC is far more valuable than Bertuzzi.

You’d think Detroit could get a lot more for Bertuzzi especially with retention. Knies is a very good prospect but to take on Mrazek there should be more value coming back. Maybe Kerfoot as he could be a good 2C for Detroit who could be dealt at the deadline if need be

way undervalued Bertuzzi there. You must be a leafs fan... Not only did you eat contract, but you only got 1 prospect and took more cap off their plate. This trade pretty much saves the Leafs for next year and puts Detroit behind 2 more years in the rebuild... If your a Wings fan making this, you should be embarrassed.. You have to be a Leafs fan to do this.

You must remember that Knies is a really good prospects and what I have seen he is the real deal. And yes, it saves the Leafs for next year, but they get rid of, maybe the best prospect, and Bertuzzi has only 1 year left on the contact and then he will cas in so it is basically a rental for Leafs. But I hear what you are saying and maybe I undervalue Bertuzzi. i'm just having fun being a GM.
