Bruins aren't paying to take on Carter. Could have told you that contract extension was going to be regrettable when he signed it.

Jo isn't a centre imo, he's probably not signing that deal, and Ottawa isn't gonna just trade him to begin with. They traded for him because they thought that Joseph had more upside than he'd been able to show on Tampa's 4th line. They got eleven games out of him and in that small sample size he looked like a 1st liner. Now nobody should expect him to replicate that long term, but Ottawa isn't gonna trade him until they find out what he is.

100%. He's shown too much chemistry on the Sens and also just seems to fit perfectly. As a culture guy, you keep him. As a fit, who knows? Need a full season to see his value. Too many fans would be pissed if PD flipped him for nameless picks. Not with Paul beasting this postseason

If I'm Ottawa I'm looking at 3-4 year deals for him and Formenton. I've got a lot of faith in both as strong 3rd liners and see both battling for a top 6 job next year. I think they could be monsters together on a 3rd line.
