All of these players have more value than that.

You are underselling most of these guys. Kerfoot was top 50 in 5v5 points and makes 3.5 million. The Canucks Garland makes 1.5 more a year produced less and is traded for top prospects and a 1st daily. Holl is a depth defenceman making 2 million who can play 20 minutes a night. That's worth a pile more than a 5th. Engvall is coming off a really good season and is controllable. He's worth more than a 5th as well. Muzzin is likely correct

Sharks might do a minor player swap but aren’t really interested in paying assets for Holl

Holl's value as a superstar decreases once you leave the Toronto City limits

The Blues do not want Muzzin or Holl. Pass it on.

If we trade Karlsson or Burns i would Consider Holl, he is a decent guy who can play 18-20 min a night and is defensively sound and has good skating ability, plus we seem to do well with Toronto rejects!

I think if SJ can move Burns or Karlsson a D man is probably coming back or with the cap being tight a Holl type can be had to 1M. Plus if you look at our roster we have quite a few D men even if we trade 1

Ferrero, Vlasic, Megna, Simek, Merkley, Hatakka, knyxhov plus the remainder of Burns or Karlsson

Ive seen a lot of deals to Dallas Benn for Burns or Seguin for Karlsson that ive really liked and the Stars fans seem to agree with them as well.
Holl i feel is underrated in Tor because hes not a 10-15 goal 40+ point guy, but a fast good skating bigger RD who is good defensively would be a nice addition.
plus besides Merkley who should be in the lineup next year the only other RD we have is Meloche who to me is no better than a 6/7D man

Yes i like the dallas proposals. there seems to be a match there. remember we are trading 1 of burns or Karlsson not both which gives you another RD. I still think a braun, Widemand or Psysk would give you the same for 1M or less.

Braun earned himself 1.5-2 mil after last year and is also 35+ Holl is still young enough that I'm not worried about regression. plus he would just be a stop gap till we get a younger replacement.
I like Laroque a lot and see him having top 4 potential but it's still way to early and hes 2+ years from NHL action. we need to draft a RD or 2 in the 1st of 2nd of the next 2 drafts. even then we stil need someone who can fill in for 2-3 years till that guy is ready and i don't trust Merkley with top 4 min... yet anyways.

For sure. Holl would be an upgrade over Meloche. That's my only thinking.
