I've been thinking some kind of Driedger-Mrazek deal makes sense. Depth is there. I've always liked Cogliano to the Leafs. I like that you kept Muzzin on this team. The only thing I'm hesitant on is the lack of ability to play C if an injury occurs in the top 6, I think wingers who can slot in if needed in the top 6 if needed are crucial. But other than that, I like it a lot.

Great point, center depth is important, especially since Tavares is aging and he can't keep up. That's what makes trading Kerfoot hard. He's the perfect swiss army knife, and he puts up points. But his mistakes in the playoffs left a bad taste in everybody's mouth.

While I can see the value in the Seattle trade, pretty sure the Kraken would prefer to roll the dice on Driedger again this season, and that they value their draft picks more than players like Kerfoot, given this stage of the Kraken franchise. The only way I see them packaging a 2nd rounder with another pick and/or a player is to land themselves another 1st rounder!

Keeping with Seattle (sort of), Nashville protected Jeannot in the expansion draft over the likes of Duchene, Johansen, Sissons, Jarnkrok, etc. After the rookie season he just had, I think the Preds are more inclined to keep Jeannot and role the dice on re-signing their own (superior) Swedish winger.
