No way MTL is moving caufield, they haven't had a natural goal scorer in years, they're going to build around him and suzuki and will find players to complement them. If they want the 2nd overall it's because they want slafkovsky to play with suzuki and caufield. NJ won't move that 2nd without suzuki or caufield so they wouldnt be good trading partners.

Quite the difference between having fun on the ACGM and being an asshole. For some reason, certain ppl think trolling is far different than the definition. Having tact isnt difficult.

Slaf has good but choppy skating. Every opinion I hear from scouts screams Nichushkin but with far less speed and skill. Nichushkin was described with elite straight away speed. They have the same physical gifts but Slaf seems more like a grinder. 5 goals in Liiga is very underwheleming when you had players like Joel Armia score 18 goals in the same league at same age.

Caufield is already proven and should have won ROTY if not for Ducharme.

Cooley is the better pick by almost every measure but the Devils dont need him! They should be targeting Nemec or Jiricek

I personally think he is going to be better than both those guys, his skating does need work that's for sure but he's still very young and can work on his skating, his defensive game needs work too. I don't think he's NHL ready yet and I personally would not trade caufield for that pick, not a chance.

He seems like another KK with choppy skating. If you cant separate in the NHL you run into problems. Lafreniere is more talented than Slaf with same skating issues and is having a hard time finding his game in the NHL. Nemec and Jiricek are lower risk picks and I think Gms will realize that. Slaf is a boom or bust pick, not worth a 2OA IMO. Devils should be looking to trade down if they are not taking a D here.
