Huberdeau is not leaving for that. It will take way more. Than two mid picks and a playoff scratch

I'd say 2x 2nds is probably his max value

I originally had Dellandrea instead of the 3rd but thought that might be too much to ask from DAL-- I think there could be a deal made between these teams though. And I think Gurianov could thrive under a more offensive system in FLA. I'm open to tweaking the deal, but this gets them a young winger with potential + multiple draft picks--- they only have 1 pick in the first 2 rounds of the the next 3 drafts. This helps them out in that regard.

Dallas cannot take the future contract of JH. We need money to pay Hintz next year.

Dallas desperatly needs players on their ELC until we unload (one way or another) the contracts of Benn and/or Seguin.

what do you think Hintz gets? or Robertson for that matter? I made a test for 2023-24 and was able to make it work with Hintz at $7.5m, Robertson at $8m and Huberdeau at $9.5m-- but I could even see giving Robertson a 3 year bridge deal around $7m which would expire the same time Benn's does, freeing up a lot of cap space.

What does the D look like on your test?

signed Lyubushkin at $2.5m 2022
signed Kulikov at $1.5 2023
bought out Suter 2023

2023-24 defense:
Lindell - Heiskanen
Harley - Lyubushkin
Kulikov - Hakanpaa

depends a lot on how Harley performs next season

though another option could be moving Faksa instead of buying out Suter

You think they care about the next few drafts if they’re looking to win now. This absolutely hurts them. If they traded huberdeau they’ll be looking for a Robertson type player

The only reason he was a scratch was because of our bone head coach. Any other coach would’ve played him over players like Faksa.

Anyhow I’m not defending the value of the trade just pointing that out.

Maybe you’re right but he was still not playing like he should be traded for a superstar.

Huberdeau more likely to end up on Preds than Stars due to Poile's desperation
