Canucks get a better offer than this but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Tampa is in on Miller this offseason. Their management and team maturity seems like they could put aside any feelings from his previous tenure and recognize that Miller at half retained would be a huge addition in attempting a 4pete or getting that 3rd cup in 4 years.

Even Foote, Finley, 1st, and a 2nd probably isn't enough for Miller at 50% retained

Unless you're adding Cernak, Tampa just doesn't have the assets to get Miller especially with retention

I guess if they trade Cernak, there's no surplus and no retention needed. Actually it's hard to avaluate what's more valuable, an elite rental or a young top-4 defenseman.

They will have to trade one of Cirelli, Sergachev, Cernak or Colton next summer, or trade one of their top players.

Sergachev is most likely followed by Cirelli then Colton, and Cernak being the last guy on that list to be moved. Cernak is our best player at our weakest position. it would take a massive overpayment and a replacement ready if we are trading him away. only other option is to move McDonagh but highly unlikely
